Inauguration of clinical embryology training programme of ISAR-NTC- (National Training Centre) in collaboration with KMC, Manipal.

Considering the fact that there is need of more trained clinical embryologists in India, ISAR has started a training course in embryology of 13 months. The inauguration of the course commenced on 1st August 2015 at University campus of Manipal. A small function comprising of inauguration and mini-symposium was arranged by Dr Satish Adiga.

The course was inaugurated by Dr R S Sharma- Deputy director, ICMR and Dr H Vinod Bhat- Vice chancellor of Manipal Univesity. Dean of Kasturba Medical College- Dr Mrs. Poornima Baliga B; Programme director- Dr Sadhana Desai; Programme coordinator Dr Vijay Mangoli; Clinical embryology division, KMC, Manipal- Professor Dr. Satish Adiga; Head. Dept Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KMC, Manipal -Prof Pratapkumar; Joint secretary of ISAR Mr. Virendra Shah attended the function.

Dr Hrishikesh Pai, President ISAR sent his wishes for the success of the programme. His message was conveyed by Dr Sadhana Desai.

Inauguration was preceded by a Mini-symposium. The programme was attended by around 50 invitees and students. Dr Sadhana Desai spoke about overview of IVF and Dr R S Sharma spoke on need of guidelines on ART in India. Dr Vijay Mangoli apprised the audience about the need of such course in India and gave brief outline of the training programme. Dr Adiga introduced the guests and concluded the function by giving vote of thanks.
